The record
A pool deck in hard sun, a gym full of medals, blue bow ties on a stage, and tables set for paint, music, and company.
Battur Purevdorj. These photographs follow the weeks — swimming, volleyball, a performance in a large hall, an art table under a tent, and the objects kept close at home. The gift bag reads Baigal. The cards beside it are printed in Mongolian.

Still life
Objects with a job to do.
Paint still in the box. A speaker and a microphone on the wood. A kettle waiting in a warm niche. On the round table, a ribboned bag, small boxes, and a white diffuser. The room around them is still being set.
The Bay
The bridge crosses behind them. The water goes wide to the right.
